Samples are usually early prototypes of some of our set deisgns, or trial stamping for custom design ideas. They are usually stamped onto cutlery with surface flaws that cannot be removed, which is often difficult to photograph. Please be aware of this when purchasing a sale, seconds or sample piece.
Important
Due to the plated matte finish, this set has some light markings on the handle and on the piece itself, which cannot be removed. Usually these would buff out with our regular stainless steel cutlery, but with this particular plating, we are not able to do this. The markings may not visible in the images, but should be considered before purchasing. They will also incur with use, but in essance we feel it just means your cutlery set grows all the more unique to you. If you prefer a clearer finish, this set is probably not suited to you, but do give us a shout if you'd like to chat about an alternative cutlery style.

As with all of our products, the handstamping process will ensure that each piece is absolutely unique and no two sets will ever be the same. The characteristics that define them as original mostly come from the handstamping technique. This means the wording and individual letters may not always be completely straight and will never look exactly the same as the cutlery pictured. In addition to this, the nature of stainless steel will mean that some pieces may have minimal blemishes, although we feel these only further celebrate the individualities of each item and add to the charm that makes your cutlery truly unique to you.
